Dear BMS Families,
We are excited to welcome families to our upcoming Meet the Teachers’ Nights at Bellingham Memorial School! These evenings are a wonderful opportunity to come into the building, meet your child’s teachers, learn more about what they have planned for the year ahead, and experience the positive climate and culture that makes BMS such a special place to learn and grow.
We will host our evenings on the following dates:
- Wednesday, September 9 | 6:00–8:00 PM
- 4th & 5th Grade Families
- Thursday, September 10 | 6:00–8:00 PM
- 6th & 7th Grade Families
Each evening will begin in the BMS Auditorium at 6:00 PM with a brief welcome from me. I will share some of the exciting things happening at BMS this year, our priorities for student learning and growth, and the ways we are continuing to build a school community where every student feels known, supported, challenged, and valued.
Following the opening welcome, families will have the opportunity to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and learn more about the experiences their children will have throughout the school year. Meet the Teachers’ Night is also a great opportunity for parents and guardians to become more involved in the BMS community and to establish those important connections with the educators who work with your children each day.
At BMS, we are committed to building a culture grounded in four core values:
Perseverance • Accountability • Integrity • Respect
These values aren't simply words on a wall. They are the foundation for how we expect our students and adults to treat one another, approach challenges, take responsibility for their actions, and contribute to our school community.
We are already seeing so many positive examples of these values throughout our school, and I look forward to sharing more about the year ahead with you. Most importantly, I hope you will take some time to walk our halls, meet our staff, and see firsthand the positive energy, climate, and culture that are alive and well at BMS.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to a fantastic school year and to welcoming you to BMS next week!
I hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Josh
