BMS Families,
I want to take a moment to thank all of the families who joined us for our Meet the Teachers Nights this week. It was great to see so many of you in the building and to have the opportunity to share a little about BMS, introduce you to our teachers, and talk about our hopes for the school year.
We want our families to feel like an important part of the BMS community, and nights like this are a great opportunity to build those connections. If you would like to revisit the information I shared, you can access my
presentation here.A couple of reminders as we head into next week:
- After-School Buses: Our after-school bus program begins Monday, September 14.
- BMS Ice Cream Social: We hope you and your family will join us on Friday, September 18, from 6:00–7:15 PM for our BMS Ice Cream Social! We are looking forward to a fun evening and another opportunity to bring our school community together. We will be outside if the weather cooperates and inside if it does not. We hope to see you there!
Remembering September 11
As we recognize the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we will take time to remember and honor the lives that were lost and the many lives that were forever changed. While September 11 is a difficult part of our nation's history, it also reminds us of the courage, compassion, and sense of community that emerged during and after that day.
We will remember those who were lost and honor the families, first responders, and communities whose lives were changed forever.
